Community - Social involvement - Education
These three words resonate strongly with Stéphanie and Jean-Sébastien. They wish to put their skills and values to good use in order to improve the daily life of the schools in the Laurentians region, in addition to promoting student retention through an annual scholarship.
These donations echo their natural dedication and their desire to actively contribute to community projects in the region. Without a doubt, their vocation is significantly dedicated to the field of education.
Stéphanie: Governing Board from 2012 to 2016 (CSRDN), 2012-2013 Parent Commissioner CSRDN, member of the Board of Directors of the Centre de services scolaires des Laurentides 2020-2022
During her studies in business administration, Stéphanie focused her graduate work on the topic of intervention plans. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Laurentian Student Success Foundation as Treasurer.
Some examples of projects in which we are involved
Social involvement - Flower boxes at St-Jean-Baptiste school in Val-David.
This project was realized in collaboration with the art teacher Nancy Breton and the students of the school. These flower boxes were donated to refresh and beautify the school's landscape.
Social contribution - Donation of indoor plants to the Centre de formation des Cîmes de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
As part of the Osentreprendre challenge, a group of students was given the mandate to update the cafeteria of the Centre de formation générale des Cîmes in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. The idea behind their project, named L'éco-Café, was to rethink the interior design of the said cafeteria using recycled materials. St-John Paysagiste contributed to the project by providing interior plants as part of this stimulating project.
Donation - Presentation of a scholarship to the CFAM school (Centre de formation agricole de Mirabel)
Being proactive in education, St-John Landscaping is committed to highlighting perseverance and academic excellence by offering a scholarship to a student who stands out in the CFAM school (Centre de formation agricole de Mirabel). This scholarship is offered to encourage students to pursue their studies in a field of activity closely related to St-John's area of expertise. The awarding of the scholarship will take place during the Gala Méritas of the Mirabel Agricultural Training Center.
